Download means to obtain information on the local system on the remote system, or to initiate the transfer. Examples of remote system from which the download can also be done on the server, FTP server, mail server, or other similar systems. Download any file that can mean either is offered for downloading or that has been loaded, or the process of receiving the file.
It has become more common mistakes and confuse the importance to download and install or just combine them wrong.
The inverse operation to download, can refer to sending data over a LAN to a remote system as a server or another client with the intention that the external system must retain a copy of the data being transferred or initiation of such a process. The first words came into popular use among users of the computer with the growing popularity of bulletin board systems (BBS), facilitated by the wide dissemination and implementation of dial-in the 1970s.
